Karachi 12th Class Result: BIEK Announces It, Not BSEK

The 12th class result in Karachi is announced by BIEK (Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi). BSEK (Board of Secondary Education, Karachi) handles only the matric (10th class) result and does not conduct 12th class (intermediate) exams at all.

Why Students Confuse BIEK and BSEK

The confusion exists because both boards cover Karachi and both have similar names. BSEK is the board most Karachi students know from matric. When they reach 12th class, they assume the same board handles intermediate results. It does not: BIEK is a separate organisation that only runs intermediate (HSC) exams.

How BIEK Releases the Karachi 12th Class Result

BIEK releases the HSC Part-II result group by group, not all at once. In 2026, BIEK announced the Pre-Engineering group result on 17 August 2026. Other groups (Pre-Medical, Commerce, Arts, General Science) are announced separately over the following weeks.

Check the BIEK website at biek.edu.pk for the announcement date for your specific group. The portal only shows your result after your group is announced, even if your roll number is valid.

What If Your College Is Not Affiliated with BIEK

Some Karachi colleges are affiliated with FBISE (the Federal Board) rather than BIEK. This is common for cantonment schools, federal government colleges and some Aga Khan network schools. Check your roll number slip: the board name is printed on it.

If your roll number slip says FBISE or Federal Board, check your result at fbise.edu.pk. FBISE announced the HSSC-II 2026 result on 9 September 2026 with an overall pass rate of 85.95%.

How to Check Your BIEK Result by Roll Number

2. 2Select HSC Part-II Annual 2026.
3. 3Enter your roll number exactly as on your admit card.
4. 4Click Search. Your subject-wise marks and pass or fail status appear.
5. 5Save or print the result card.

Other Sindh Boards: If You Are Outside Karachi

If you are from Hyderabad, Sukkur, Larkana, Mirpurkhas or Shaheed Benazirabad (Nawabshah), your 12th class result is announced by the respective BISE in your city, not by BIEK. Sindh has 6 separate intermediate boards, each covering a different region of the province.
