FA Part 2: Arts and Humanities in Pakistan

FA is the second year of the arts and humanities track in Pakistani intermediate education.

Full name

Faculty of Arts. Also called "Inter Part 2 Arts", "12th Class Arts" or "2nd Year Humanities". In Sindh it is called "HSC Part II Arts".

Common elective subjects

History, Geography, Economics, Civics, Psychology, Sociology, Fine Arts, Punjabi, Persian, Arabic, Education and Computer Science (at some boards).

Compulsory subjects

English (compulsory), Urdu (at most boards), and either Islamiat or Pakistan Studies depending on the board.

University pathways

BA, BSc (some programs), LLB, B.Ed, Journalism, Mass Communication, Social Sciences and Language programs. Admission requirements vary by university.
