ICS students can apply directly for BS Computer Science, BS Software Engineering and BS IT at most universities without a separate national entry test. Many private universities accept ICS results directly for admission. Public universities may run their own entry tests.
ICS students cannot apply for MBBS or engineering programs (BE/BS Engineering) at most public universities. A small number of universities accept ICS for BS Computer Engineering; confirm with the university before assuming eligibility.
ICom and FA students generally apply to universities directly, without a national entry test. University merit lists are based on 12th class marks (and sometimes matric marks). Some universities hold their own tests for BBA, LLB or specific programs.
ICom students: apply for BBA, B.Com, BS Accounting and Finance, or BS Economics. ICom also qualifies for the CA Foundation program at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP), which has its own registration process.
