ICom is the commerce and business track of the Pakistani intermediate program.

Core subjects

Principles of Accounting (Part II) is the most important subject. Economics, Business Mathematics or Statistics, and Commercial Geography complete the core.

Accounting in ICom

Principles of Accounting Part II covers partnership accounts, company accounts and analysis of financial statements. It carries the highest marks in ICom.

University pathway

BCom (2 years), BBA (4 years), BS Accounting and Finance, BS Economics and BS Commerce are the main options after ICom.

ICom vs FA Commerce

Some boards offer a 'General Group' or 'Arts' track with Commerce subjects. ICom is distinct from FA with Commerce electives: ICom is a dedicated commerce program, while FA Commerce is an arts group with commerce electives added.
